Alora Macedon
Macedon Ranges

Tucked into the Macedon Ranges, under an hour from Melbourne, Alora feels like a world of its own. The estate was built with a quiet nod to Tuscany: warm plaster walls, sweeping garden lawns and an outlook across to Mount Macedon that changes with every passing hour. It’s the kind of place where the landscape does half the work, and where every corner seems to invite you to stay a little longer.

At the heart of the property sits the Glass Atrium, a soaring space of floor-to-ceiling glass and open sky. By day it fills with soft, even light, and as the sun drops behind the ranges it glows gold, then fades into starlight. For a photographer, it’s a rare thing: a room that lets the outside in, so the mountains are never far from the frame.

For this styled shoot, we gathered a dream team of creatives who share a love for considered, beautiful work. Every detail was chosen with care, from the florals and decor to the dress, hair and makeup, all designed to feel at home in the estate’s European calm. Rather than build a perfect picture, we wanted to create space for movement, warmth and the kind of quiet moments that make a day feel real.

What we found was an estate that rewards slowing down. Long walks through the gardens, golden light spilling through the glass, and those small, unguarded moments in between. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels like an escape to Europe without leaving Victoria, Alora is one to fall for
